How do I unistall the Microsoft Edge "Update"

How do I uninstall the Microsoft Edge "Update" on my computer?  I accidentally installed it and I don't even use Microsoft Edge.  I know I can't uninstall Microsoft Edge, but hopefully I can at least uninstall the Update.  It really, really stinks Microsoft forces people to have Edge on their computer because it just takes up storage space, slows your computer down and the browser tracks your surfing history.

    I was not able to uninstall Edge, but I found a workaround - Use Chrome with the Kami Extension.

    I tried to removev it via Powershell, and this is what Powershell said:

    Remove-AppxPackage : The request is not supported.

    error 0x80070032: AppX Deployment Remove operation on package

    Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_44.18362.449.0_neutral__8wekyb3d8bbwe from:

    C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe failed. This app is part of Windows and cannot be

    uninstalled on a per-user basis. An administrator can attempt to remove the app from the computer using Turn Windows

    Features on or off. However, it may not be possible to uninstall the app.

    Stinks, doesn't it?  You pay top dollar for a computer yet they dictate to you what you can and cannot do.  The customers' wants do not seem to matter to them.

    Me neither.  And I hate to try something with little instructions that tell me what to do.  I am afraid I would mess up everything.  If we uninstalled everything and brought it back to 'factory issued' eliminating anything added, would that bring back the old Edge?

    I'm not a genius either, when it comes to pc's.  I just wish someone with knowledge would jump in here and tell us what we can do.  My computer is just a couple months old.  I wish I had kept my old one, even though it had Windows 7 on it.  I don't care that they no longer support Windows 7 because they are certainly not supporting their customers who hate this new Edge.
