How do I unistall the Microsoft Edge "Update"

This is my LAST MICROSOFT COMPUTER! Switching to Apple! I've had 4 or 5 HP's but NEVER AGAIN!!

sorry but if it came as an update you are stuck with it so in future you should make that clear rather then just telling people to try and uninstall it.

"uninstall" is greyed out - we cannot uninstall: that's the problem! :-( If you managed it better hope your computer doesn't auto-update you with an undeletable version. I still can't do my work to the standard I previously could, using the original Edge as an editor of PDFs. 

I couldn't figure out how to uninstall the update either so I stopped using Microsoft Edge altogether and went back to my old browser which is working fine for what I needed to do. I understand that they updated it because licenses will be terminated for Adobe Flash at the end of 2020 BUT that's almost a half year from now!! They should have eased folks into the transition instead of forcing users to do it right now or else. They will lose a lot of users now. Shameful.

I hate this unexpected so-called upgrade. I used Edge every day for work with my Surface Pro to annotate PDF files by hand. The option to uninstall isn't there for me either.

After wasting hours of my time I've found I can use PDF Ink (in fact not - see below) from the Microsoft store as a poor substitute. The key disadvantage is that you cannot scroll down with your finger after writing - that makes an unwanted line and won't move the document at all - you have to put the pen tip on the scroll bar at the side and use that. It's not ideal, but it's made it possible to for me do my job again.

PDF Ink is actually not good enough - after saving the decently handwritten text and reopening the files it had been distorted - readable but looks terrible. 

Now using Foxit free PDF Reader (10.0) with pen (no need for the Phantom Editor if all you want to do is add handwritten notes in a variety of colours). Unfortunately it can't tell the difference between a Surface Pro pen and my finger so scrolling still requires using the scroll bars, and it does not pick up the handwriting as nicely or smoothly as Edge. I want Edge back!!

Somewhere in this series of posts, I gave Microsoft's phone number.  I called them directly and after a couple hours, they had removed the updated version and gave me my old one back.  I am so much happier with the earlier version.
