Windows 10 crashes after installing latest AMD graphics drivers

Hi,

I did a fresh install of windows 10 on my laptop. When I try to install the AMD graphics drivers, windows freezes. After force shutdown and restart, windows freezes on the login screen.

Then, if I boot into safe mode and disable the AMD drivers, then it runs fine. But, enabling the drivers again causes the same issue.

The driver for the integrated graphics works fine.

I ran the dism commands for ScanHealth and RestoreHealth. There was no error.

I ran sfc /scannow. There was no error

Laptop: Lenovo Z51-70

Processor: Intel i5 5200U

Integrated GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5500

GPU: AMD R9 M375

    When trying to install the AMD driver in safe mode, it just tells me I have restrictive download settings. Any advice?

    UPDATE: Booting into safe mode with network fixes this. You can do this by going to your Windows search bar, typing "msconfig", going to the "Boot" tab on the new popup window, and selecting the "safe boot" checkmark in the boot options on the bottom-left. Then, select the "Network" radio button, and then restart.

    Found the issue - Using a Dell P2213 monitor which is not compatible with the Videoport output of the card. By teicking with a different monitor, I can make the Dell responsive only by duplicating the screen and fircing the refresh rate to 75hz and then back to 60hz.... bottomline: I’m buying a proper monitor.

    i have kinda solve this issue (im using an old lenovo G510

    amd 8500

    intel 4600

    1- go to your bios

    2- disable switchable graphics (i choosed uma) i dont know if you have other options!

    3- login and and remove your drivers and install (both intel and AMD)

    (IMPORTANT for AMD and INTEL and even MICROSOFT to solve it)

    (what i found is you need to install (15.40.0.64.4240 for intel 4600)

    DO NOT UPDATE YOUR INTEL DRIVER!!!

    it will crash and make you ANGRY again (cause amd driver will fail to found or update or etc)

    even nvidia have this issue...

    and the MOST IMPORTANT thing is that i install AMD drivers step by step (to help the windows or the hardware/software not to crash)

    1- AMD whql 15.11.1beta-64bit-win10-win8.1-win7-nov14.rar

    2- AMD non-whql-crimson-relive-16.2.1-sep20

    3- AMD Drivers.19.12.3.win.10.Beta.x64

    4- AMD Adrenalin-2020-Edition-20.11.1

    and now

    5- AMD adrenalin-2020-20.12.1

    (cause 20.11.0 or 20.11.2 had crashed and freezes on the login screen again!

    I have the same problem, everything on my laptop is up-to-date but I had to disable the "AMD Radeon HD 8600M series" driver on safe mode or else my entire pc will crush, I have tried almost everything and gave up am now using the intel HD integrated graphics...but if anyone found the solution to this, please

    Hello. I have your same graphics card in a HP notebook.

    With this old driver (from 2015!) my card is working.

    Be sure to remove your previous drivers with the AMD cleanup and enable your graphics card again if you disabled it.

    (I updated the drivers and then uninstall the aplication)

    I'm using the AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 Driver for Windows 10 64-Bit version.

    I didn't install it in safemode or disable my internet.. nothing. Just installed it and worked fine.

    I hope that windows doesn't try to update it!

    Performance is not great but at least I can play again. I play overwatch and minecraft with this drivers.
