Did EVERY GD thing and finally - the resolution was the BIOS update. Camera is now working. Lenovo is Chinese junk.

Hi community. After reading some members having similar issue, I have tried some of the suggested fixes, such as activating camera through F8 (nothing happened), Checking Privacy and Permissions setting in Lenovo Vantage app (all ok), and also in Device Manager I tried Updating Drivers, Disabling/Enabling camera, Un-installing and Re-installing camera.
I have then removed Lenovo Vantage app.
No success. I tried the camera app and Skype, and still getting just a black screen instead of the camera view.
Appreciate any help with this issue.

I had to roll back the camera driver update to March 12, 2019 (10.0.17763.20092). The most current driver appears to cause the camera to no longer function (black screen).

Following this thread since long time now. I had exactly same problem. Since past week, after a latest windows update, and downloading driver from Lenovo's website, the camers started working, however the white light beside camera was flickering little bit. So I complained to lenovo and got my camera replaced (laptop was in warranty period). The enginner came today morning and replaced the camera. Now it is working fine. He said my camera cable to the motherboard was loose. He tightened it as well as replaced with a new camera also. I'll suggest you all complain to Lenovo.
