Lenovo Ideapad S340: Integrated Camera not working after trying F8, LEnovo Vantage and Device Manager changes

Hi community. After reading some members having similar issue, I have tried some of the suggested fixes, such as activating camera through F8 (nothing happened), Checking Privacy and Permissions setting in Lenovo Vantage app (all ok), and also in Device Manager I tried Updating Drivers, Disabling/Enabling camera, Un-installing and Re-installing camera.

I have then removed Lenovo Vantage app.

No success. I tried the camera app and Skype, and still getting just a black screen instead of the camera view.

Appreciate any help with this issue.

You could go to device manager, you find it under right click on start, and uninstall the camera. Than restart the laptop, Windows will find the uninstalled hardware and install it, as well as its driver. It is like a reset, but just for one device on the laptop.

If the driver which Lenovo supplied to Microsoft is not working, we could try an older driver, or they might have a newer on their site. We could look.

Ok, got to run. I did look up the drivers, just in case. Have a look if you need them:

Much appreciated ! I tried your previous suggestions, uninstalled the camera, rebooted the notebook, still not working. Will try previous versions of camera driver as you suggested.

    Cheers

    If it help:

Install the SW from lenovo and update all your system drivers in one click:

    https://support.lenovo.com/ru/en/downloads/ds012808

You can detect your product with 100% result by using Lenovo APP on the same page

    Detect Product

Some  devices require other drivers that was not installed in your system yet.

If it still  goes wrong with your camera:

Please try to install USB Video Camera driver manually - this is standard driver provided by Microsoft.

With this driver you will get less settings and poor image quality but it will run your camera in many applications from Microsoft store.

Let me know please if it not help.
