Lenovo Ideapad S340: Integrated Camera not working after trying F8, LEnovo Vantage and Device Manager changes
Hi community. After reading some members having similar issue, I have tried some of the suggested fixes, such as activating camera through F8 (nothing happened), Checking Privacy and Permissions setting in Lenovo Vantage app (all ok), and also in Device Manager I tried Updating Drivers, Disabling/Enabling camera, Un-installing and Re-installing camera.
I have then removed Lenovo Vantage app.
No success. I tried the camera app and Skype, and still getting just a black screen instead of the camera view.
Appreciate any help with this issue.

2020-06-11T21:16:15+00:00 Sadly, Im having similar problem with my brand new Lenovo C340-14IWL.
The last resort suggest uninstalling S mode in order to get the lenovo update for the camera ( this update is available on Lenovo website). However, this means leaving your entire laptop at risk; as S mode apparently is the security system for the device.
so now need to wait to speak to someone to see what's the solution

I had the same problem with a Lenovo Ideapad 720. Front facing camera (ov5670) would not work and device manger gave a code 10 error (device not receiving power). Tried everything we could find, manual driver install, registry filter reset, inspected ribbon cable still nothing. Fix was to use Lenovo Vantage to update drivers. I installed all of the recommended drivers and rebooted. Camera started working after, with no errors in device manager.
