Lenovo Ideapad S340: Integrated Camera not working after trying F8, LEnovo Vantage and Device Manager changes
Hi community. After reading some members having similar issue, I have tried some of the suggested fixes, such as activating camera through F8 (nothing happened), Checking Privacy and Permissions setting in Lenovo Vantage app (all ok), and also in Device Manager I tried Updating Drivers, Disabling/Enabling camera, Un-installing and Re-installing camera.
I have then removed Lenovo Vantage app.
No success. I tried the camera app and Skype, and still getting just a black screen instead of the camera view.
Appreciate any help with this issue.

2021-02-16T14:23:28+00:00 There is a button at the top of the laptop screen directly above the camera. Switch to the right. It's very hard to see as you have to feel for it, especially with my 60 year old eyes. That did the trick. I must have inadvertently turned of the camera manually as did everything everyone said below. Sat through an entire meeting with a red screen, so I knew it was working. Hopefully, this will help someone else.

2021-02-14T23:48:56+00:00 I've got the same problem. Already Updated the drivers do the F keys and still doesnt work. But sometimes as time goes on it works but there is a time it doesnt and an error message appears. I wonder if this is a hardware issue because im tired of the cycle.
Hey guys I want to tell you that my camera is now fixed and here's how and its probably same to yours.
Be sure that your drivers and bios are updated.
I went to Lenovo support and accessed my warranty and it was found out that it was a hardware problem. The call center agent told me to lightly press the camera on the top part of the screen and gently move the lcd up and down then the camera worked then it disappears. Try this and if this happened to you, contact a Lenovo support and they will change the camera for you if you have a valid warranty. -
