Lenovo Ideapad S340: Integrated Camera not working after trying F8, LEnovo Vantage and Device Manager changes
Hi community. After reading some members having similar issue, I have tried some of the suggested fixes, such as activating camera through F8 (nothing happened), Checking Privacy and Permissions setting in Lenovo Vantage app (all ok), and also in Device Manager I tried Updating Drivers, Disabling/Enabling camera, Un-installing and Re-installing camera.
I have then removed Lenovo Vantage app.
No success. I tried the camera app and Skype, and still getting just a black screen instead of the camera view.
Appreciate any help with this issue.

Hi Vishal,
It seems that a lot of people owning the S340 are struggling with the non-responsive camera issue and I too have struggled with this for a long time (since mid-July). I purchased this laptop (Lenovo S340-15IIL) in early June for my wife (online teaching). It worked flawlessly for about six weeks and then suddenly one day the camera refused to function.......Tried everything listed on all the Lenovo support site and all the suggestions on various forums including this one.....but to no avail.......till recently.
Being a tech enthusiast for almost three decades now, I was puzzled as the for all this time the camera was being detected properly in device manager and drivers installed were correct...no yellow exclamation OR down arrows ever..!! After having tried everything and getting frustrated and not getting any reply from the Lenovo helpline...on a hunch I simple pressed the screen bezels gently on the sides of the camera and behold the camera started working immediately !!!!
After a few minutes the camera again went blink and I just pressed again......and it started working again..!!!!!
It seems the issue is simply of improperly mounted camera hardware and/or poor quality hardware by Lenovo. Its possible that they are aware of this as so many customers are facing this issue and looking by this, they should order a product recall / refit at their expense as many customers may be out of warranty now but are facing an issue due to poor hardware integration by Lenovo.
Thank you so much. This works and you saved me a lot of time.

2021-12-16T18:25:28+00:00 I faced lots of issues with my camera, finally figured it was issue with the camera driver.
I downloaded an alternate driver "2csc04afsmfznnb0" which looks stable and solved all my issues for good.

2021-11-27T12:37:48+00:00 I finally solved the issue by uninstalling the manufacturer driver and allowing windows to install a windows driver.
When uninstalling, just check delete the driver and scan for hardware changes to allow windows to install the camera.
Then, you can enable or disable the camera using F8.

2021-11-27T06:02:36+00:00 Hi, I'm having the same issue. It's been months that I wasn't able to use my camera app on my laptop. When I open the camera app, it shows nothing other than all black screen. I already tried installing new drivers, uninstalling the camera app, updating my laptop, using Lenovo vantage, and F8 key but nothing worked for me. I've been looking up for some solutions but nothing changed. So, please someone help me fix my camera. Thank you.
