Lenovo Ideapad S340: Integrated Camera not working after trying F8, LEnovo Vantage and Device Manager changes
Hi community. After reading some members having similar issue, I have tried some of the suggested fixes, such as activating camera through F8 (nothing happened), Checking Privacy and Permissions setting in Lenovo Vantage app (all ok), and also in Device Manager I tried Updating Drivers, Disabling/Enabling camera, Un-installing and Re-installing camera.
I have then removed Lenovo Vantage app.
No success. I tried the camera app and Skype, and still getting just a black screen instead of the camera view.
Appreciate any help with this issue.

2021-01-06T07:54:57+00:00 I've got the same problem. Already Updated the drivers do the F keys and still doesnt work. But sometimes as time goes on it works but there is a time it doesnt and an error message appears. I wonder if this is a hardware issue because im tired of the cycle.

2020-12-27T18:23:13+00:00 Many many thanks!! In the end it turned out to be a physical problem. Just pressing around the camera solved, but I will try opening it and checking for loose connections.

2020-12-02T04:40:03+00:00 Hi. I also received such a problem with my new Ideapad S340. I was just like Installing and reinstalling drivers. Sometimes the camera works sometimes it doesn't. So I checked my Notebook to a Lenovo Engineer. He opened the area near that camera and he tight a loose wire and my camera start working. So don't forget to show your notebook to a Engineer
I got this problem again. The Lenovo guy changed the Camera wire connecting to the motherboard and I did some changes in the driver. Just make the driver change into a Normal USB Port. My camera still works fine...
Thanks and I am not a Lenovo Guy (or Microsoft)
