This concerns the upgrade of an HP Stream13. We have had the same problem every single time there is a major upgrade. NOT ENOUGH ROOM! I provide a clean USB memory stick and uninstall software I really need to keep after the usual Disk C:\ clean-up. Still declared insufficient space after hours of locked out trying.
This is a fast fibre line so that cannot be the reason for the long lock out.
So I disable (reduce to almost zero (200Mb) the virtual RAM and resume. I have no further ideas on making more space. Disk drive C:\ is now all YOURS!
There is another long lock-out but still not complete. There must surely be thousands of others with limited memory space so affected. Where would you have me turn to? The loss of access finds me on another Laptop to be making this input. Tellingly this one has a Linux based OS since the owner long since gave up on Windows. You really cannot blame anyone for that.
The point here is that I need help and guidance from both MS & HP to facilitate this upgrade. I truly believe compensation is due for the lost time and effort having to be made by me. That would surely sharpen your wits in dealing with this matter.
Please now point me at the best procedure to adopt for my machine.
In anticipation I thank you.
