2020-10-10T19:54:34+00:00 The solution that worked for my Lenovo laptop black and white webcam issue on all apps was one that was suggested here about going into Skype (I used the preinstalled Skype for Personal Use) and during the setup, I went to:
Skype > Sign in > Webcam Settings > [Under Video Proc Amp tab] ensure ColorEnable is checkmarked > Click OK
My webcam was suddenly in color in all of my other apps including Zoom, Lenovo Vantage, and Camera App.
Unsure as to why this worked, but I will stop questioning it. For reference, I did use some some open source webcam solutions like OBS and a test-taking browser called Lockdown Browser which may have changed my settings with no way to change them back.
I have face to face meetings through Skype and a black and white image seemed unprofessional to me. I might share this with the people over at the Lenovo forums as well.
