    That works for changing from black/white to color but now I have a new problem. My camera just doesn't turn on. I tried the privacy button to on, I reinstalled the driver, all to no avail. Now what?

    Thank you DCShupe, worked for me too! Normal Skype also does the trick...

    I had the issue with a Microsoft LifeCAM Studio

    What I did was go into SKYPE the settings  then Audio & Video then Webcam settings the Color enable was greyed out so I click on default and then canceled it. and all my apps that use the camera are now in color. Instead of cancel you might try ok if that doesn't work. I hope this works for other people.
