my camera is in black and white. How do I change it to color?

please can anyone help cause this is a new laptop and its just been a month since i bought it and now it is giving me problems. so please can anyone help

my lenovo laptop integrated webcam is just in black and white and it is black and white in all apps.

i am not able to solve the issue i tried to reset the app and i also perforemed the 'rollback'

but nothing happened it is still in black and white only.

please can anyone guide me out of this problem . i will be very thankfull if anyone helps  "this is a new laptop and is under waranty" just to inform.

Thanks DCShupe, that advice actually fixed my camera as well.

So, Microsoft engineers should put a bit more attention in the next iteration of the Camera App. I'm pretty sure that the lack of control settings in that App is what led to this problem from the start.

Hi Community,

I had this same issue, and finally found my fix.

In Zoom, WebEx, etc.. webcam was in color and fine. In MS Teams it was Black & White, so I knew it was specific to some setting, not a defect.

I installed Skype for Business, as I noted that Webcam controls are much better.

Open up Skype for Business and if it tells you that TEAMS is the more current app, ignore that and continue to open Skype.

Navigate to the settings for Webcam

You can play with all of the complex settings in that window, or just click defaults, and then save.

These new settings, corrected whatever I had done in the past to make my Camera show as B&W in the Microsoft platform
