SS3svc32.exe popping up on startup?

Hi all! So, for the past few days when I start my laptop the file SS3svc32.exe keeps popping up and trying to make changes. It pops up twice (I click no both times) and then stays away until next startup. I looked at the file location and it's with a program 'Sonic Suite 3' which I don't remember downloading and when I went to Apps in Windows Settings neither are listed. Is there a way for me to remove it? Thanks!

Wow, 8 pages of this.  

Did anyone ever think to go to the manufacturer of the motherboard and see if they have an updated audio driver?  Maybe one that fixes the problem instead of trying to find some wacky work around?  

I ask because I found this after deciding I had enough of that damned popup:

Now, I am no computer guru or anything, but I figured that someone, somewhere might have an actual fix for this problem since Microsoft doesn't fix problems with other people's software causing conflicts with theirs.  That's a long known truth about them.  So instead of trying to change registry values or downloading another program that "fixes" problems just do the simple thing folks.

That is *ONLY* for the Motherboard *I* have.  So don't go downloading the same one unless you have the same motherboard.  I hope this helps at least someone out there.

    To get some clue about it, open Task Manager and click to show all details and under Startup tab look and see if you see this app and if you right click on it, you will get option to open file location and you could get some clue about what is it.

    Do NOT delete them but you could search and see what is it and uninstall it through proper way.

    I could not find a proper way to delete the file I was wondering if you did cause i do not want this start up to keep on happening. :)

    Hi guys, I have the same issue and tried getting it fixed but not for sure it's worth doing. As for me, it seems that there are two ways to get it fixed. 

    1.  As Hexaae said " 

    A simple workaround to avoid UAC at boot is disabling autorun of ss3svc32.exe and adding a task in Task Scheduler with highest privileges...This won't solve launching SStudio 3 and SRadar 3 with UAC from Start menu, but at least will remove annoying UAC everytime at boot, while waiting for a MS fix or an ASUS official update through ASUS Live Update.

    1. Another simple way is to cut the file "SS3Svc32.exe" through the path "C:\Program Files\ASUSTeKcomputer.Inc\Sonic Suite 3\Foundation\SS3Svc32.exe and paste it to the storage that you prefer to keep so that you can get it rolled back just in case. It might be experimental and no rewarding but  I haven't got such issue so far.

    Since Oct this popup started appearing. My computer started getting glitchy, screen flickering, random slowness. Then about a week ago in the Recent Files tab, I saw a screenshot of my PW list dock from when I had it open. I didn't take that ss, but I run a very clean machine so I didn't take it as anything, maybe I did take that ss by accident. The weird thing was it was located in a hidden obscure MS folder. A few days later my FB account showed activity when I had not logged in in months. I don't have my FB linked to anything. I work w sensitive information so I don't take stuff like this lightly so I formated (fully) my PC. Again random ss of something that looked like word combos saved in random MS folder. Two days later I started getting weird fake MS Win themed redirects when I opened my browser and tried going anywhere. Win defender was useless. All malware or rootkit scanners found nothing. This is happening on a fresh install... I'm afraid to use my home pc for anything atm.

    Sorry but this is not a thread for fake ss3svc32.exe hiding malware. It is a thread discussing recent issues with Windows updates and clean ss3svc32.exe by A-Volute and ASUS on default installation and required for audio enhancements.

    P.S.

    Try MalwareBytes and enable Rootkit Search in the Settings. You should also inspect boot drive (those small partitions of 10-100MB in front of your drive that Windows uses as early boot) maybe with a Rescue CD by Kaspersky or Bitdefender....
