Cannot print since latest Windows 10 update

Hi there,

One of our users can no longer print since her laptop got the most recent Windows 10 updates (her laptop is up-to-date as of this morning).

One of three things happens when she tries to print:

-- The application shows all the installed printers in the drop-down, but when she clicks print, nothing happens

-- The application shows all the installed printers in the drop-down, but when she clicks print, she gets an error saying there are no printers installed

-- The application does not show any printers

The printers are all showing in control panel.

It is not even possible to print to PDF.

I have tried restarting the print spooler service in services.msc but that hasn't helped.

Any advice?

Uninstall  KB4524147 and/or  KB4517211

    I think that as the new windows 10 can install new software on the computer

    My solution is to edit the Registry - delete the printer In all instances (since I don't know which one works)

    then reconnect the printer and let windows install it.

    I had Tech Support look at my system yesterday and they have told me they don't have a fix right now. They scheduled a call for today and ended up not calling me.

    I just received an email saying they still don't have a fix and they will call tomorrow. Looking at what was installed KB4517389 and KB4524147 were never applied.

    I did install 1903 released yesterday because it said it will fix the print issue, well it did not fix it.
