Cannot print since latest Windows 10 update

Hi there,
One of our users can no longer print since her laptop got the most recent Windows 10 updates (her laptop is up-to-date as of this morning).
One of three things happens when she tries to print:
-- The application shows all the installed printers in the drop-down, but when she clicks print, nothing happens
-- The application shows all the installed printers in the drop-down, but when she clicks print, she gets an error saying there are no printers installed
-- The application does not show any printers
The printers are all showing in control panel.
It is not even possible to print to PDF.
I have tried restarting the print spooler service in services.msc but that hasn't helped.
Any advice?

2019-10-07T18:51:22+00:00 So, it was released with a "known bug" affecting printers. Like offices don't need to use printers? I have a Dell Inspiron desktop running Windows 10 version 1903 in a real estate office, which requires pdf files and a LOT of printed copies.
It took 6-1/2 hours to install the October 4th updates last Thursday. Did not indicate in any way there were additional files needing to be installed after a restart. (What happened to automatic restarts when multiple files needed to be installed?)
Friday morning - no printers. Finally found out it needed a restart to install another update. (Computer was off overnight, isn't turning it on a restart?) Troubleshooting revealed it was waiting for another restart to continue installing updates. Did that, waited for the installation to complete. Restarted just in case it wasn't done yet. Printers worked!
Monday morning, started computer. It ran another update. Restarted. No indication anything else was needed. NO PRINTERS! Checking updates showed one unable to download because additional downloads were waiting for a required restart.
Restarted again. Downloaded one and installed three more updates. NO PRINTERS! Now showing no more updates waiting for installation. Restart. Still no printers. Shut off completely and back on after a full minute. Still no printers. Uninstalling latest updates.
Wishing I was using a MAC!

2019-10-07T17:52:38+00:00 Windows Security Essentials will not load as well on my PC. Do you think the uninstall will help with that?

2019-10-07T17:39:07+00:00 all I did was changed one print properties setting under device managerand that was enough get the printer working again did not bother with uninstalling the update waste of time following that poor advice as that leads to further installation errors down the track.
Did the same wi-fi connection on the laptop working like a dream again still got the update installed.
