Cannot print since latest Windows 10 update

Hi there,

One of our users can no longer print since her laptop got the most recent Windows 10 updates (her laptop is up-to-date as of this morning).

One of three things happens when she tries to print:

-- The application shows all the installed printers in the drop-down, but when she clicks print, nothing happens

-- The application shows all the installed printers in the drop-down, but when she clicks print, she gets an error saying there are no printers installed

-- The application does not show any printers

The printers are all showing in control panel.

It is not even possible to print to PDF.

I have tried restarting the print spooler service in services.msc but that hasn't helped.

Any advice?

Uninstall  KB4524147 and/or  KB4517211

    Right now I waiting for a level 2 support person to call back, he's an hour late. He had me remove 1903 this morning, it made the issue worse after I installed it.  My bet is he'll remove all updates back to October 3 and than install 1903 again. I'll let you know once I get this working.

    Hi,

    Having an issue with MS print to PDF.  It will not work now on a windows 10 machine.

    I tried removing the updates listed here, KB5424147 and or KB4517211 but I do not see these updates listed on the machine to remove.  running 1903 build 18362.418

    I went in and turned off feature Microsoft print to PDF and attempted to re-add it, now I am getting an error about .net with instructions for locating a folder in the .net installation directory which doesn't seem to exist, so I can make some changes and then a registry edit.

    As usual, they need this to work now.  

    I have given them another PDF printer to use, but "its not the one they want."

    Any way to resolve this?
