Harman Kardon Invoke Setup Failure

Hello

I've owned my Harman/Kardon Invoke speaker for almost 3 years now, and haven't had an issue with it until now.

It stopped working suddenly, and when I tried to reset it (by holding the mute button for 5 seconds) the speaker never finishes setting up. The Cortana device setup app says it's ready to go, but the speaker itself never says so, the light just keeps slowly blinking forever.

I've tried using different WIFI networks, re-installing the setup app, trying the setup on my phone, and I've even made sure all my software is up to date. I have a theory that the device can never be linked to my account for some reason, since it never shows up in the "My Devices" panel in my Cortana app.

If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated!

I have 4 Invoke speakers that have never worked correctly. Microsoft never supported them and I would like a refund. My attempts at Microsoft providing any level of support on these speakers or the Surface pro 7 I just bought is futile. I arranged 3 meetings with to troubleshoot my surface pro 7 issues and they never showed up once. Microsoft has no support.

I hard reset my router and could not re-setup my Invoke from my PC. It told me it couldn't contact a service.

Finally I loaded the Cortana app on an iPad mini. It showed the Invoke and its ip address etc, but I still could not connect.

I then deleted the device in the IOS Cortana app. After that, it allowed me to add a new device (my Invoke) and it was able to connect to the network and complete the setup.

Following Microsoft's Firmware Update of the Invoke, the update that will remove all Cortana function from the speaker, whether it can be used as a true bluetooth conference room speaker: Audio Input / Output both when connected to Microsoft Teams?

I got new internet service and needed to reconnect my Invoke to the new wifi, but I could not connect the Invoke to the Cortana App.  My surface would not connect it and my android phone would not connect to it.  I read that using an ipad or iphone would work.  It's very UNlikely that if you have an HK Invoke you wouldn't have any Apple devices, but if you have access to one, use it to reconnect your HK Invoke, it works!!!

Windows' Cortana wouldn't work, but Cortana on Android did. (I was surprised to find that it was still in the store.)
