Harman Kardon Invoke Setup Failure

Hello

I've owned my Harman/Kardon Invoke speaker for almost 3 years now, and haven't had an issue with it until now.

It stopped working suddenly, and when I tried to reset it (by holding the mute button for 5 seconds) the speaker never finishes setting up. The Cortana device setup app says it's ready to go, but the speaker itself never says so, the light just keeps slowly blinking forever.

I've tried using different WIFI networks, re-installing the setup app, trying the setup on my phone, and I've even made sure all my software is up to date. I have a theory that the device can never be linked to my account for some reason, since it never shows up in the "My Devices" panel in my Cortana app.

If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks for your reply. Afraid like many others here already tried that multiple times.

The root problem seems to be Microsoft's arrogant and uncaring attitude toward Cortana Smart Speaker customers. Imagine if Apple, Amazon, or Google abandoned customers like this!

There is a way to setup Invoke in the new Cortana app but I have not tried it since both of my Invokes still working absolutely perfect except for the Cortana noise

My three Cortana speakers seem to be progressively getting more errors of late. There is a definite change in how they all function with more frequent drop outs from my WiFi network and a very obvious slowness in how she responds when tasked with a question. I am using the Invoke in Australia. Are people experiencing these same issues in the US?

Is she significantly slower to respond to requests at various times?

Is she losing connectively more often?

    Hello Allicit,

I can confirm that the behaviors that you're encountering are experienced the very same on my side with my one Cortana Invoke speaker: yes.

Specifically, the WiFi drops...which makes no sense to me whatsoever.  I am in Washington state, U.S.A.

I'm really not noticing "slowness" to respond so much, but that could be due to the fact that we are using our Google Home Mini more and more since Smart Life dropped their service from IFTTT.

I am still holding out hope for Cortana because I am 100% integrated to MSFT for all things productivity such as Calendar (Outlook) and "To Do".

I would love to have (3) Invoke speakers as they are just incredible units.

I hope my response helps you.

    Best Regards,

I changed my location and now harman invoke is stuck at light spiraling around like it is stuck in booting only. I have tried everything including factory reset pin. No buttons are responding Mic or BT. Any solution to this?
