Harman Kardon Invoke Setup Failure

Hello

I've owned my Harman/Kardon Invoke speaker for almost 3 years now, and haven't had an issue with it until now.

It stopped working suddenly, and when I tried to reset it (by holding the mute button for 5 seconds) the speaker never finishes setting up. The Cortana device setup app says it's ready to go, but the speaker itself never says so, the light just keeps slowly blinking forever.

I've tried using different WIFI networks, re-installing the setup app, trying the setup on my phone, and I've even made sure all my software is up to date. I have a theory that the device can never be linked to my account for some reason, since it never shows up in the "My Devices" panel in my Cortana app.

If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated!

How did you contact them for the 2 and 3rd? Was it online chat, call or email? I have claimed 1 but being in Australia it's way more complicated.

BTW last night one of my invokes was behaving oddly then started talking about how the service would be discontinued.

I have started transitioning to alexa but I don't like how it all functions, terrible app, bad UI, difficult to report issues or feedback, US centric and region locking as with cortana, worst of all the Australian accent is an abomination.

Exactly what happened with the MS Band.

Microsoft deserves a class action lawsuit or a strong fine for their behaviour and lack of support for consumers. Sometimes bean counting is less important than showing good-will to customers. A gift car is certainly hush money.

They have frequently broken consumer laws and removed features or sunsetted devices that many of us have investment in due to our reliance in the overaching MSFT ecosystem. There doesn't seem to be any unified ecosystem anymore, it's been dismantled.

I suggest everyone that is annoyed by this whole situation to contact Harman Kardon support, as I have done, HK have apologised and have forwarded my complaints and comments on to Microsoft.

    I've got 4 here.... :(

Actually activated all 4 in the past 6 months, use 2 regularly and have 2 as spares.

I'm sure the gift card is to avoid class-action lawsuit. It's basically hush money.
