Here is what I found out by calling Harmon Kardon about the Invoke. Microsoft dropped support for the Invoke and any other smart speakers that use Cortana. The Harmon Kardon customer service rep said they had that information second hand after receiving so many phone calls about the Invoke. Now, in my words. Basically, they have quit on Cortana rather than making improvements. We can still use an audio cable to connect a device to listen to music. However, no Cortana, no Bluetooth, no music apps. We now have a very nice paper weight. Glad I only paid half price for it 2-years ago. Harmon Kardon emailed me a code for 30% off any other Harmon Kardon product from their website. Lord knows that Microsoft has not offered any assistance and has not notified its customers of this business decision to quit on their customers. They couldn't succeed with their Windows Phones, so it would only make sense to continue to support their apps on iPhones and Android phones. Thanks again MS and any input or feedback from your company would be much appreciated. Perhaps, Harmon Kardon could provide a software update and give us Alexa or Google on the Invoke.
Harman Kardon Invoke Setup Failure
Hello
I've owned my Harman/Kardon Invoke speaker for almost 3 years now, and haven't had an issue with it until now.
It stopped working suddenly, and when I tried to reset it (by holding the mute button for 5 seconds) the speaker never finishes setting up. The Cortana device setup app says it's ready to go, but the speaker itself never says so, the light just keeps slowly blinking forever.
I've tried using different WIFI networks, re-installing the setup app, trying the setup on my phone, and I've even made sure all my software is up to date. I have a theory that the device can never be linked to my account for some reason, since it never shows up in the "My Devices" panel in my Cortana app.
If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated!

2019-12-25T10:15:49+00:00 Hello
I found out the answer for those who live in Europe as me.
Just switch the langage into US of your win10 laptop and automatically you can access to the US Windows Store and therefore you can download the app ! So simple 😁
No need to change the region of your laptop or other parameters.
My HK works fine now as a BT speaker phone, I didn't purchase it for the Cortana features which are not available in my region.
Best and greeting seasons

2019-12-25T00:41:49+00:00 Do you live outside the USA? If so, I sorry because the app to set it up on mobile (Cortana) will be going away after January ends (unless you have a or get a Windows 10 Phone, lol).
If you live in the USA, what type of phone do you have? The IOS Cortana I've heard wasn't working for others and not for me either. My old LG Android (Android 6) didn't work either. My Lumia 950 worked though. So try a newer Android Phone or Windows 10 Phone if you haven't already. If you have then you can only wait for Microsoft to fix this.

2019-12-25T00:12:19+00:00 I have had the same issue at ThomasBee. I have not been able to complete the setup process so I can use my invoke for the first time. I am able to complete the setup process all the way up to the point when it tries to connect to the Microsoft server to update and it immediately fails the setup process. I have tried completing the setup process on multiple networks, computers, and mobile phone and I always encounter the same issue. Its pretty sad that I can't even use my speaker to play music. Microsoft needs to fix this issue or stop requiring all these steps if you don't want to use Cortana at all.
