Harman Kardon Invoke Setup Failure

Hello

I've owned my Harman/Kardon Invoke speaker for almost 3 years now, and haven't had an issue with it until now.

It stopped working suddenly, and when I tried to reset it (by holding the mute button for 5 seconds) the speaker never finishes setting up. The Cortana device setup app says it's ready to go, but the speaker itself never says so, the light just keeps slowly blinking forever.

I've tried using different WIFI networks, re-installing the setup app, trying the setup on my phone, and I've even made sure all my software is up to date. I have a theory that the device can never be linked to my account for some reason, since it never shows up in the "My Devices" panel in my Cortana app.

If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated!

    Hi and Happy new year

    I have 3 Harman kardon/cortana speakers and I experienced the same thing as all of you.

      seems to be a cortana issue and Microsoft is discontinuing Cortana 01/31/2020 on IOS and Android phones in all countries.

    except USA. 

    so there are glitches.

    MS /Kardon sopposed to be send new firmware out.

    when ????

    I had some user issues but seems to be resolved, but what I  

    noticed is Cortana is Dumber  not able read my email some of the simple things.

    MS is working on moving her to Office 365.

    Same here, everything stopped working and after resetting things I can't re-link Skype.

    Microsoft hasn't said anything like that. Unless Microsoft is going to now drop support of things without ever saying so, so until they do announce something I don't believe this.

    Also if Harman/Kardon force installs Alexa or Google assistant on my Invoke I'll sue them. They can gift me an echo or Google Home speaker though, but if I wanted Amazon or Google in my house I already would. They can't completely change the product after purchase like that.

    I have this exact same issue, with the exact same behavior/symptom: click agree and nothing happens.

    Do you live outside the USA? If so, I sorry because the app to set it up on mobile (Cortana) will be going away after January ends (unless you have a or get a Windows 10 Phone, lol). 

    If you live in the USA, what type of phone do you have? The IOS Cortana I've heard wasn't working for others and not for me either. My old LG Android (Android 6) didn't work either. My Lumia 950 worked though. So try a newer Android Phone or Windows 10 Phone if you haven't already. If you have then you can only wait for Microsoft to fix this.
