Why are these files appearing in quantity (every 15 minutes), while running Windows 10 home, in my /apps/local/temp folder? They did not appear before the last 3 days ago.

    Perché questi file vengono visualizzati in quantità (ogni 15 minuti), mentre si esegue Windows 10 home, nella mia cartella / apps / local / temp? Non sono apparsi prima degli ultimi 3 giorni fa.

    dopo l'ultimo aggiornamento di win 10 di due-tre giorni fa sembra tutto risolto e i files non si formano più, speriamo continui così.

    Microsoft is making billions off us and can't even enter a discussion that has been going on for 6 months or more?  These log file started showing up immediately after a Windows 10 update for me and I have no doubt that the update caused it.  Put someone on it, find the simplest solution with the least side-effects and post it so we have a M$ approved fix for this issue.

    Something is causing this task to be started every 15 minutes at which time it creates a log file and immediately exits.  Is another task starting it?  Is a system timer starting it?

    What the heck is going on and rather than follow any amateur fixes, I would like a M$ fix for this issue.  Pay one of those programmers to answer this thread - after all, it's being posted to "answers.microsoft.com" so Microsoft should provide the solution.  Do you not monitor your own answer site?

    WAKE UP MICROSOFT !!!  Spend a few grand out of those billions and have someone answer these threads that represents M$.

    The  solution I used:

    Uninstall OneDrive

    Run msconfig

    Set to boot minimal safe mode

    reboot

    cd to c:\users[your name]\AppData\Local\Temp

    Delete all the "mat" log files

    Run msconfig again -- uncheck safe boot & reset to normal strartup

    reboot

    Install OneDrive from Microsoft Store

    Go to the recycle bin and delete all the "mat" log files

    This seems to have stopped the files from showing up! Three re-boots OK.

    And, OneDrive works OK.

    Machine - Windows 10 Home Version 1909 64-bit                    3-22 11:10

    I've found an easy way to get rid of the Localbridge.exe program that's creating these files. Download "InstalledAppView" from nirsoft.com. This allows you to easily uninstall any of the built in MS Apps. You can safely zap Localbridge in a few clicks with this (and any other pre-installed crapware that you don't need).
