Why are these files appearing in quantity (every 15 minutes), while running Windows 10 home, in my /apps/local/temp folder? They did not appear before the last 3 days ago.

    I test the nirsoft program and i have too a localbridge installed and some office . I look in windows my apps and feature if i can from there and type office. there is list a office with around 27 MB from 6.6.20 . strange who have install this. I dont think i have a virus.

    I'm 95% sure that mine came from a Microsoft update.  Never had an issue with those log files prior to an update from M$.

    You'd think with all the people that have encountered the problem, M$ would give us a proper fix.  Doesn't anybody monitor thes forums ?

    Hi, this worked for me as well. Not sure exactly when it started, I think around the launch of 1909, which I am running. I just kept deleting them daily and could never figure it out. They were never locked, so they were easily cleaned up.

    I did the MSConfig.exe, Safe mode -> Minimal, rebooted and then cleaned up the temp folder while in Safe Mode. I then ran MSConfig.exe again, unchecked Safe Mode and checked Normal boot and restarted and it's fixed! It hasn't come back. Not sure what was causing it or why this works. I am running Windows x64 1909 and have Office 2019.

    Hello --- I found that the  process that I creating these files  is "localbridge.exe" which is in the windowsapps folder and has some connection to   "office hub" --- what is this? can it be turned off?

    Did you see any notifications concerning an embedded addition or change to your computer memory or operating system? Otherwise, I guess we can only wait for enough people to get involved so that one of them finds out the source and the resolution to disable whatever creates these zero byte files every 15 minutes.

    One additional possible culprit. I recently turned on some Intel tools. 

    I now note the following IRQs are providing periodic interrupts:

    Are any of these likely to produce a "mat-debug" file?
