Hi, 

My anti virus software threw up the following:

Suspicious connection blocked

    • Online Threat Prevention

MicrosoftEdge.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to markets.books.microsoft.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since web pages must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk.

When it's fixed my Bitdefender will quit blocking it. Apparently it's a useless Microsoft file that is not needed or my computer would malfunction with it blocked. If your getting pop-ups, maybe get an anti-virus software like Bitdefender that works in the background without all of the annoying pop-ups.

    I followed the advice on this forum to update Microsoft Edge. Very pleased to say that Bitdefender has now settled down with no reports about MicrosoftEdge.exe expired certificate.

    I have just downloaded the new edge, so I don't HAVE that setting any more

    My Bitdefender has been doing it for over 6 months! That's how I ended up here, every 2 seconds, I get the same pop-up and am told that it's an MS problem
