Hi, 

My anti virus software threw up the following:

Suspicious connection blocked

    • Online Threat Prevention

MicrosoftEdge.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to markets.books.microsoft.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since web pages must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk.

When it's fixed my Bitdefender will quit blocking it. Apparently it's a useless Microsoft file that is not needed or my computer would malfunction with it blocked. If your getting pop-ups, maybe get an anti-virus software like Bitdefender that works in the background without all of the annoying pop-ups.

If your getting pop-ups, maybe get an anti-virus software like Bitdefender that works in the background without all of the annoying pop-ups.

    or you can open Edge... goto "...", "Settings" and unchock inline definitions for "Books".

    It also installs an expired certificate in "Third Party Certificate" hive of the certificate store

    I haven't heard Microsoft say when they are going to fix the issue??? It's been going on for at least 6 months are so!!!!!

    Hello Roger, i'm Timon and i'm glad to help you.

    As stated in the message, the website certificate has expired (on November 6) so your browser blocked the connection.

    You may ignore this message and this misconfiguration will probably be fixed by microsoft promptly.
