Unable to update 2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4528760) - Error 0x800f0831

Yeah been getting the same issue, even had the update run when I was in middle of a game, and that causes a BSOD issue. 

Tried the update several times, and a few different solutions. Now using update assistant and it looks like its just going to 1909, hopefully that does the trick, the last update for 1903 must be a real broken donkey! (kb4528760)

It has nothing to do with which version of Windows you have, 1903 or 1909 both give the same problem. I have 1909 and cannot perform the update KB4528760.

Yeah, the update assistant is not helping either.  Kinda want to stab something, frustrating.

Just to also wade in, I'm using an HP BW550 machine which refuses to accept update KB4528760. Everything seems to work fine until the reboot when it gets stuck on the spinning dots screen. After a bad experience last year, I'm now very careful to not do any Windows Updates without multiple restore points being available - and both times I've run WU during January & February, forcing recovery console and rolling back has been the solution.

From what I can see, a manual install works for some, as does disabling third-party AV. I don't have Windows Connect installed as best I can work out. I'm minded to just keep updates paused for now, since the rollback process takes several hours each time and may one time fail to work.

In my case, it was solved by itself. I happened to forget about it and now when I check my Windows Update it says that I'm up to date. So I guess it has been installed after all.

My experience was the same - Microsoft advised to wait for a patch and this happened without any input from me.  Windows Update and the latest updates now working well.
