Unable to update 2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4528760) - Error 0x800f0831

Glad you got it updated. So it just blew past the 1903 and I am now on the 1909 win 10. No problems since for me with updates anymore!

I couldn't even do anything with the Update Assisitant, I needed to reinstall my win. I didn't know I was gonna reinstall it, It just told me it would take a lot of time to update win10. Turned out it wanted to update TO win10... Or something like that. Never mind, updated to date in half or one hour so it was worth it. Nothing more to update right now.

I used the page below after searching for Update Assistant for 1903 build. I thought I found it but as link shows it's not properly what I was looking for. Didn't lose any programs or files as far as I can tell after 10 minutes of random clicking.

Edit: Looking at it again, it seems like it was the Update Assistant in the end, it just took me too long to install and it wrote out inappropriate things. Nooo, not like that. Just things that didn't belong to an Update Assistant's mouth...

I totally agree with you.

This is not what one expect from company with Microsoft reputation. It is not first time that MS issue faulty update or App, specually for Windows 10.

Apparently MS is far from what it was.

I got several problems after installing this update. First problem is when I restart my computer. It is stuck on restarting screen for about 5 minutes then I get a blue screen before the computer starts up. After the computer has been on for a while (like 1-2 hours) all my network stops working. Both my wired and wireless and I am not able to re-activate my network interfaces again. After going thru a restart and blue screen again my network starts working until it don´t  after 1-2 hours. How can Microsoft send out a update that cause big problems to peoples systems when it is suppose to help them?

I quit windows a few years ago and recently came back to it, this was a horrible experience. I cant believe that 90 percent of windows users are vulnerable rn its crazy. I just come back to windows to find this mess. Bill would cry if he knew about this lol. Linux updates perfect every time (well at least it updates every time) mac worked everytime (even if the updates are huge and time consuming). Windows just dosent update at all? Honestly its so annoying to give something a second chance and within months have a real big problem. The most attacked os on the planet cant even get its updates right... Im annoyed to say the least.
