As the title says. I have tried downloading and installing manually and through windows update. This will not install. Any help?

The second link given by Sumit does not work. The microsoft site just spins and spins.
I have tried every single other fix on the internet (fix.bat, try installing from a different administrator profile, try manual install) and nothing has allowed me to install this download. I don't know what BumbleBounce means by c:$getcurrent.
I did not want to have to wipe my system to do this. Does anyone else have a link that works for more things to try?
Well, it seems that I was too early with my conclusion. As soon as I restarted my laptop, I got this:
And then checking Windows update and there it is again!
Does Microsoft check this blog at all? Can they not solve this?
My experience was the same - Microsoft advised to wait for a patch and this happened without any input from me. Windows Update and the latest updates now working well.
In my case, it was solved by itself. I happened to forget about it and now when I check my Windows Update it says that I'm up to date. So I guess it has been installed after all.
Just to also wade in, I'm using an HP BW550 machine which refuses to accept update KB4528760. Everything seems to work fine until the reboot when it gets stuck on the spinning dots screen. After a bad experience last year, I'm now very careful to not do any Windows Updates without multiple restore points being available - and both times I've run WU during January & February, forcing recovery console and rolling back has been the solution.
From what I can see, a manual install works for some, as does disabling third-party AV. I don't have Windows Connect installed as best I can work out. I'm minded to just keep updates paused for now, since the rollback process takes several hours each time and may one time fail to work.
