Guys please help when I go to windows automatic repair an error pops out saying "Windows automatic repair could not fix your pc" so I tried going to command prompt running with admin of course and using the code bootrec /RebuildBcd and bootrec /FixBoot to fix it but a message pops out saying bootrec is not recognized so I don't know what to do. I tried searching bootrec.exe in drive c, windows, system 32 folder but I couldn't find it. How do i fix this and do I need a windows installation cd to activate bootrec and automatic repair or something? Please don't suggest using system restore points and system reset because I will not try those solutions for I already tried system restore and automatic repair still did not work and system reset for me will remove all my programs so I will not do it. I'm using windows 10 and with latest updates also tried sfc scan now with no issues and tried dism restorepoint already which completed successfully.

Like I said I can boot my laptop but when I try to fix my os using automatic repair it has that error. Thats why I want to solve. Other wise if I couldn't boot in my laptop I wont be able to try to find the bootrec.exe in system32 folder written in my post. Please read.

Are you saying Windows 10 can start and runs OK, the only problem is that Automatic Repair is not working?
If Automatic Repair isn't working then how are you getting Windows going again?
The only fix for this I can think of is to Clean Install, but this time wipe the drive clean and follow the steps in Clean Install Windows 10 because nobody who does ever comes back with problems like these.
I can open my laptop ok I can boot to windows just to make that clear. I just want to fix the issue that when I try repairing my laptop with automatic repair an error pops out saying "Automatic repair cant repair your pc". I did an automatic repair because my laptop froze after a windows update and even if I go back before the update automatic repair pops out the same error. So the problem was already there even before the update itself. So no point doing a restore point. Now my laptops unfrozen but automatic repair still does not work.
Mike, I assumed you were doing these repairs from bootable media which is more stable than the onboard repairs that might have corrupted files. It is one of the first things I recommend in the tutorial covering everything to get Windows 10 started.
To create Windows 10 Installation Media on another PC install Media Creation Tool and follow the directions here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install. Uncheck the box for Recommended Settings to choose the exact version and bit rate for the target PC only.
Insert media, boot it by powering up PC while pressing the BIOS Boot Menu Key: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/23010-bios-boot-menu-f-keys-hotkeys-system-manufacturer-oem.html
If the media won't boot you may need to enter BIOS/UEFI Setup (pressing key given in chart in link above) to turn off Fast Boot or Fast Startup first.
Choose the boot device as a UEFI device if offered, on second screen choose Repair Your Computer, then Advanced Troubleshoot Options, then System Restore. If that fails try the RebuildBCD commands from Command Prompt. If that fails go back to Troubleshoot Options to try a Reset.
If that fails choose Install Now, then Custom Install, then at the drive selection screen delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, click Next to let it create needed partitions and start install - this makes it foolproof. Just a few notes....
First I dont have a bootable device that has 50gb or more.
Second I dont have a windows 10 media my laptop for some reason did not came with a windows 10 installer cd. Not that it matters because when my friend did a clean install of my laptop in the past bought a new windows 10 os code online.
Third I honestly have no faith that I can do this alone without someone guiding me personally.
