mincraft bedrock server - You need to authenticate with microsoft services

Has anyone found a solution to hosting a Minecraft bedrock server (which has worked fine for a long time), all of a sudden showing the error message 'You need to authenticate with Microsoft services'

tried:

  • signing out and in again
  • restarting server
  • turning server into offline / back into online
  • reinstalling Minecraft app on my PC
  • checked logs and confirmed full access to the internet for server

suggestions?

The Bedrock server executable must be run with administrator permissions.

Right-click bedrock_server.exe

Click Properties

Click Compatibility

Click Change settings for all users

Click to select "Run this program as an administrator"

Click OK twice.

So I had this issue too,

The fix of taking the server worked for connecting offline but then my GF couldn't connect from her place. So I had to set it back to "true" and try another fix.

I restarted the Xbox (as opposed to turning it off and on as I use the instant on setting so powering off doesn't actually work as a way of resetting it as it never really turns off)

I'm not sure if that was actually what fixed it or not as the following also changed

I opened Xbox companion on the PC running the server (not sure how that would have changed anything though)

I tinkered with my Xbox privacy settings (not sure how that would have made a difference either) 

I drank a can of coke (I am 100% sure that wasn't what fixed it but include it so as to be thorough) :)

If it happens again il come back and add further info to the post if not, consider it as having Perma fixed the issue for me.

    I had this message come at me from Minecraft today.

    The game had worked fine earlier today, connecting to our bedrock server hosted at home on my pc. I think what happened is the xbox times out and Minecraft doesnt like that for whatever reason. 

    As ive always found, the fix for everything that goes wrong on an xbox one is to do a hard reset: hold the xbox button down on the console until the console turns off. Turn the console back on, and youll get the green xboxone logo om startup, this means you did a hard restart.

    Minecraft worked fine after i did this.

    HI .I'm Ahoora.I made a server from aternos.net and i did everything from watching on Youtube.but when i want to join my server , my MCPE says You need to authenticate to microsoft services. Please help me.THX

    You should turn on cracked mode.
