StartUpCheckLibrary.dll missing!

After upgrading my machine to Windows 10, 1909, the following window pops up every time I turn on my PC

HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS?

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Windows update

To remove the StartupCheckLibrary.dll error, first download Autoruns:

https://live.sysinternals.com/Autoruns.exe

  • Run Autoruns.exe as administrator.
  • In the Filterbox up top Enter: startupcheck
  • You should see a Task Scheduler entry:\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\StartupCheckLibrary
  • Right click on this entry and Delete.

...and that's the end of the error.

BTW Ignore any advice that recommends restoring this dll from quarantine. It's a CoinMiner and you really don't want it!

    Gday Andrew, 

    Currently I have the issue where not only is the startcheckuplibrary missing but the winscomrssrv.dll file too. 

    These seem to have both come at the same time after I updated to a later windows update. I updated to the newest version of windows because I ran into error codes when trying to access the Microsoft store. A kind gentleman from Microsoft helped me through that.  

    I have read through this thread and tried what was recommended by yourself and others. 

    All of the command prompt scripts were run in admin mode but none seemed to have worked. 

    I have also checked through my windows security tab in search of a dll file in quarantine, but found none.

    what if it is antivirus Bullguard? ive got the same issue but also have another one: ''winscomrssrv.dll''. 

    I also have the same issue... and i am noticing whenever i put my laptop charger on then only i get these two dll error and i have noticed slower startup times now. Please help!

    This is NOT a solution to this problem though. It only deletes the pop-ups, it does NOT fix the errors. The solution would be to either reinstall windows or possibly get the dll files from a different trusted computer, for example your laptop if you get this error on a desktop PC.

    Do this

    1. Go to start
    2. Search "task scheduler"
    3. In the tree directory go to Task Scheduler Library>Microsoft>Windows>Application Experience
    4. In the main window, find StartupCheckLibrary
    5. Go to properties
    6. Go to Action Tab
    7. Edit "Start a program"
    8. Remove argument "StartupCheckLibrary.dll"

    And you are free.
