Out of Windows 10 Minecraft redeem codes?

You will no longer be able to redeem your free Minecraft Windows 10 code from Mojang. This had to be done by Monday 20th April 2020.

.

.

.

So I'm trying to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10 (I purchased the game back in 2011) and I keep getting this error upon hitting the redeem button:

Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

Are there really no codes available right now or is this a error on my end somehow?

This thread has run its course and would be locked. Those seeking Minecraft Windows 10 edition should see a code on the redeem page.

Windows 10 Code Error - Fixed!

https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360038403371-Windows-10-Code-Error

The redemption program would end on April 20, 2020 so make sure to get the code before.

If you purchased Minecraft Java Edition before October 18, 2018, you will see a button that says “Redeem” in your account.

·       If the button is grayed out, you’ve already claimed the code. Log in to your Microsoft account to redownload the game.

·       If you don’t have a Redeem button, you purchased Minecraft Java Edition after October 18, 2018 and are not eligible for this promotion.

update: 17th April 2020

Mojang are aware that there are no codes available at the moment, for those eligible. They are actively working on this and will get it working before the deadline.

Last i heard, they claimed they had a 2 and a half months backlog..... Buts its been a month and a half+ on this problem publicly, for a problem that would take a week at Most, to fix. And they clearly know about it so they got no excuse,

As for a backlog.. yea i can under stand it when you got 1000s of people yelling to fix the same thing, there is also a post in here about someone saying he got a live chat with mojang and them claiming it will be fixed after christmas, as i warned every one a month ago they would probley do at the earliest just to try, to force people over the holidays to buy it.

But from all i seen on posts from searches, is this problem has been happening since feb, its just at this point its a lot more well knowen then back then, so i wont hold my breath about them fixing it at all, at this point, with out it majorly hurting microshits rep since they own mojang.

From all i can see is, **** wont do anything about it, at the claims of it being a independent branch. Not a single person has messaged back, saying they got a email back from them.

Yeah it seems like quite an easy fix that they're 'conveniently' not doing over Christmas. I sent my email to mojang a while ago but still haven't heard anything back from them. I also tried the live support chat thing twice with limited success but the third time I got a support agent who actually knew about the issue and I might receive a follow up email from them, hopefully...

At this point trying to contact mojang is not going to get you a quick response from what I've gathered and your best bet would be to keep trying the contact us live chat thing until you get someone who can help. It also seems to helps if you have your Minecraft email receipt.
