You will no longer be able to redeem your free Minecraft Windows 10 code from Mojang. This had to be done by Monday 20th April 2020.

.

.

.

So I'm trying to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10 (I purchased the game back in 2011) and I keep getting this error upon hitting the redeem button:

Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

Are there really no codes available right now or is this a error on my end somehow?

This thread has run its course and would be locked. Those seeking Minecraft Windows 10 edition should see a code on the redeem page.

Windows 10 Code Error - Fixed!

The redemption program would end on April 20, 2020 so make sure to get the code before.

If you purchased Minecraft Java Edition before October 18, 2018, you will see a button that says “Redeem” in your account.

·       If the button is grayed out, you’ve already claimed the code. Log in to your Microsoft account to redownload the game.

·       If you don’t have a Redeem button, you purchased Minecraft Java Edition after October 18, 2018 and are not eligible for this promotion.

update: 17th April 2020

Mojang are aware that there are no codes available at the moment, for those eligible. They are actively working on this and will get it working before the deadline.

Try reading more then just the last post imsparks, its not free when they where also giving it to people who bought java minecraft, saying you get this and that for this much money, and only giving half, is not free, its false advertising.

Yes older players got it free, but many people bought the java version with them offering the windows 10 version with it, and after the person pays there not giving them what there paying for is technically stealing, and them people do have a right to get a lawyer and sue microsoft.

As for us older players, its flat out lieing offering it, then taking it off the table, just to try to get us to buy minecraft once again. If they went trying to force us to buy it, and retracted the offer, then they would simply remove it from the site.

But its still there with excuses to any one who makes a ticket, or flat out ignored.

Paul you dont get it, there saying they cant do anything is a flat out lie, there either told to respond with that, or are to lazzy, microsoft is the parent compney, mojang is the child compney, so miscrosoft very well can do something, do not be fooled by there loops to send you in circles. The child compney always has to answer to the parent compney.

its like saying a army troop dont answer to the president, just because hes not part of the main branch.

Dont matter what branch your under, the lower branches awalys answer to the top one, if it chooses to do anything.

If your going to give up to lies, then you mine as well give them your monthly check, or quit playing there games.

Update.  I'm currently talking with their support team via Twitter, but getting basically no where.  The important thing though is that I'm actually getting responses from their @Mojangsupport account.  I suggest everyone head over there and Send at least 1 Tweet to them telling them the problem to raise further awareness.  Still no e-mail responses though, must be like 1,000,000 tickets or something.
