Out of Windows 10 Minecraft redeem codes?

You will no longer be able to redeem your free Minecraft Windows 10 code from Mojang. This had to be done by Monday 20th April 2020.

.

.

.

So I'm trying to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10 (I purchased the game back in 2011) and I keep getting this error upon hitting the redeem button:

Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

Are there really no codes available right now or is this a error on my end somehow?

This thread has run its course and would be locked. Those seeking Minecraft Windows 10 edition should see a code on the redeem page.

Windows 10 Code Error - Fixed!

https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360038403371-Windows-10-Code-Error

The redemption program would end on April 20, 2020 so make sure to get the code before.

If you purchased Minecraft Java Edition before October 18, 2018, you will see a button that says “Redeem” in your account.

·       If the button is grayed out, you’ve already claimed the code. Log in to your Microsoft account to redownload the game.

·       If you don’t have a Redeem button, you purchased Minecraft Java Edition after October 18, 2018 and are not eligible for this promotion.

update: 17th April 2020

Mojang are aware that there are no codes available at the moment, for those eligible. They are actively working on this and will get it working before the deadline.

Update: 18th April 2020

    I keep frequently looking at

    https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360038403371-Windows-10-Code-Error and I found a peculiar thing:

the "Last updated" date is somewhat near the time when the page is checked, but literally nothing else changes. Now, at time of writing, it is 09:40 UTC. The Last Updated reads as follows: "LAST UPDATED - 2020-01-15 09:08:42 UTC"*

    One minute later, it reads:

    LAST UPDATED - 2020-01-15 10:37:54 UTC

    09:47, it reads:

    LAST UPDATED - 2020-01-15 10:41:02 UTC

    Very weird.

    Twelve more minutes later:

Nothing happens anymore on the page and I stop looking at it.

I bought Minecraft Java Edition on October 11, 2015 and Bedrock for Android very recently. I already linked my Microsoft account to Android and to my computer. At least I am being able to play Java Edition.

And I bought s**** they come to my computer if I am ever able to get W10 Edition?

*for some reason i am only being able to type here in uppercase, but i am not holding shift and caps lock is not activated. i can type in lowercase in the address bar. weird. n****e paragraph is uppercase for no reason.

Extra: Some related discussion on the Discord server:

A: -- hey guys I bought Minecraft: Java Edition during a period of time when Minecraft for Windows 10 was included for free, how do i get my free copy?

    B: -- https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360038403371-Windows-10-Code-Error

Once they fixed it you should be able to get it by browsing to https://account.mojang.com/me and clicking "Claim your free copy".

C: -- question for u guys. I went to go install Minecraft for Windows 10 off the Mojang website. I originally bought the game when it was only java... and in 2015 - however when i went to claim my copy, its said there's no more free gift codes? Just wondering if this is a permanent thing? Because it says i should get the Windows 10 version free?

D: -- When i go to claim the free windows 10 copy it says that they ran out of codes? How does that even happen

E:  -- Hi, I am trying t****a the mojang website but I keep have the message : Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

    And many more complaints.
