You will no longer be able to redeem your free Minecraft Windows 10 code from Mojang. This had to be done by Monday 20th April 2020.

.

.

.

So I'm trying to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10 (I purchased the game back in 2011) and I keep getting this error upon hitting the redeem button:

Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

Are there really no codes available right now or is this a error on my end somehow?

This thread has run its course and would be locked. Those seeking Minecraft Windows 10 edition should see a code on the redeem page.

Windows 10 Code Error - Fixed!

The redemption program would end on April 20, 2020 so make sure to get the code before.

If you purchased Minecraft Java Edition before October 18, 2018, you will see a button that says “Redeem” in your account.

·       If the button is grayed out, you’ve already claimed the code. Log in to your Microsoft account to redownload the game.

·       If you don’t have a Redeem button, you purchased Minecraft Java Edition after October 18, 2018 and are not eligible for this promotion.

update: 17th April 2020

Mojang are aware that there are no codes available at the moment, for those eligible. They are actively working on this and will get it working before the deadline.

Yes i do agree with you. Microsoft is equally responsible for all this.(Microsoft and Mojang are not two different things). They dont care about their customers. All they want is to steal money from our wallets to become more and more strong without solving problems. Yes people should be made aware and should force them continuously through emails, tweets or whatever.. May be microsoft and mojang open their eyes. (I am also not going to buy that game again.) It was clearly mentioned that windows 10 edition is also included with it . And if u go to faq page on minecraft official site there is still a post that says (you can get minecraft for windows 10 free if u purchased minecraft java edition before x date. And if you are not sure you can simply check by logging to your mojang account . And click on claim free copy). But i dont know after clearly mentioning that thing why they are still doing all this drama..

Of course not, people should be made aware of what there doing, and its not just mojang, look at who owns mojang, its microsoft, and they are claiming no responsibility just because its a off branch of theres. as i said in my posts before, if you read them storm, i will no longer buy microsoft products or blizzard products. Buying there crap knowing what there doing just boldens them more, and soon they will consider them self a church and just have there hand out for nothing at the rate things are going.

Problem is how do you get 1 millon people to wake up and stop buying there products, to many people dont care till it affects them, and there is a lot of people out there with so much money they can offord not to care.

Mojang, microsoft, its not much different then multi branches of burger king or mcdonalds really. Unless people actually band to geather, something people dont do now since they would rather sit around crying then action. Nothing will change unless your able to hurt there name. At this point the only way to get results is simple since people wont band to geather, and that is to post every where what is going on and get, reviewers and youtubers and others on board to post about it.

The only real fear a major compney has, with so many morons are out there and careless spenders, is there image getting sladered, and a few 100 people posting here on there own fourm they could care less that why the fourm is still even around.

I was kinda surprised when they dident lock it after the first few posts, like they have in the past.

The problem is what should we do now. We have been waiting for more than a month. Should we purchase game again? Should we waste money on thing we already own? Should we give mojang extra money just because they are careless about their customers? Well i dont think so purchasing game again makes any sense..
