You will no longer be able to redeem your free Minecraft Windows 10 code from Mojang. This had to be done by Monday 20th April 2020.

.

.

.

So I'm trying to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10 (I purchased the game back in 2011) and I keep getting this error upon hitting the redeem button:

Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

Are there really no codes available right now or is this a error on my end somehow?

This thread has run its course and would be locked. Those seeking Minecraft Windows 10 edition should see a code on the redeem page.

Windows 10 Code Error - Fixed!

The redemption program would end on April 20, 2020 so make sure to get the code before.

If you purchased Minecraft Java Edition before October 18, 2018, you will see a button that says “Redeem” in your account.

·       If the button is grayed out, you’ve already claimed the code. Log in to your Microsoft account to redownload the game.

·       If you don’t have a Redeem button, you purchased Minecraft Java Edition after October 18, 2018 and are not eligible for this promotion.

update: 17th April 2020

Mojang are aware that there are no codes available at the moment, for those eligible. They are actively working on this and will get it working before the deadline.

I take it you only bothered to read that post and not the rest of them, or your to slow get the point so ill point it out again in smaller para.

If you dont, keep pestering them,

They will forget about it and do nothing at all.

Do not think they dont hear about, there tickets and twitter accounts bombarded.

There is only one reason they answer there tickets.

If its a purchase problem they must respond!

Thats a direct loss in money, and that they will notice when they have to keep going threw complaints about, that one thing and have problems finding stuff like loss of money or pos able lawsuits, from people trying to get there money back.

So please Mrflanders if you dont have anything useful to say to help, or cant read full paras, then dont clog our topic, with stupid nonsense, or do you work for mojang or microsoft, and just want to derail the topic....

Right now is a big time of the year that people spend money, so a lot of purchases, that is the main reason there trying to ignore us, as i said before, they want people to give up and just rebuy it and waste more of there money.

And its more then likely no matter what, it wont get fixed till after christmas and new years, once sales die back down.

But if we let up, then it may never get fixed, since the people wont be a problem no more at all.

Think about it, to a big corp 100 people are ants, but 1000 or more can be a serious annoyance. i use to work in supprt tickets, and 100 tickets to go threw for 1 person no a problem, i did them in less then a few hours, but when you have 100s of people for 1 person or 2 or even 5, it can seriously slow down work.

Do not think they have 100s of people doing support, they dont i can promise you that, more then likely they have at most 20 people. between support tickets and twitter.

The more people clogging them to get what there suppose to the better, it forces every single support member to seeing it, and all there supervisors hear about it 100%, and the yelling go down the ladder when work is slowed and every one has to answer up the ladder for it, how high up it goes depends on how big the problem is.

So yes even support tickets and so on and dont for get, you can made a new support ticket every few days if no responce, and if they claim it will be a delay for answer then every week.

Look at the top it says currently 1109 people have had this problem, if every one keeps at them thats 1109 tickets and tweets to there support every 2 days and dont think, thats every one, most people dont respond and only view, Currently we are at 14,772 views.

Thats a lot of people for this type of post and a good amount of views, personally i only check here twice a day, and more then likely thats all the active responders do, so the count of people reading this and not responding or marking they have this problem could easly be x4 how many actually took the time to click that.
