Out of Windows 10 Minecraft redeem codes?

You will no longer be able to redeem your free Minecraft Windows 10 code from Mojang. This had to be done by Monday 20th April 2020.

.

.

.

So I'm trying to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10 (I purchased the game back in 2011) and I keep getting this error upon hitting the redeem button:

Error! It looks like we've temporarily run out of gift codes for Minecraft for Windows 10. Don't worry though, more codes should be on their way. Please check back later!

Are there really no codes available right now or is this a error on my end somehow?

This thread has run its course and would be locked. Those seeking Minecraft Windows 10 edition should see a code on the redeem page.

Windows 10 Code Error - Fixed!

https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360038403371-Windows-10-Code-Error

The redemption program would end on April 20, 2020 so make sure to get the code before.

If you purchased Minecraft Java Edition before October 18, 2018, you will see a button that says “Redeem” in your account.

·       If the button is grayed out, you’ve already claimed the code. Log in to your Microsoft account to redownload the game.

·       If you don’t have a Redeem button, you purchased Minecraft Java Edition after October 18, 2018 and are not eligible for this promotion.

update: 17th April 2020

Mojang are aware that there are no codes available at the moment, for those eligible. They are actively working on this and will get it working before the deadline.

Update: 18th April 2020

    GOOD NEWS GUYS!!

I was able to get in touch with someone from Microsoft customer support via a live chat feature!! I've been following this thread since the beginning, and I've tried everything.. finally I talked to someone and explained my issue, I told them I would like to send them a screenshot and they said they'd validate it. Soon after, they came back and redeemed it on my Microsoft account! So please, please just do this and I'm sure you will get it within 10-ish minutes:

    • Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/
    • Click the small blue Contact support in browser insteadbutton
    • Type your issue, and select the "no this article did not help" until you get an option to talk with a person
    • Choose the "product" as "Windows"
    • Select issue as "PC gaming and Xbox app"
    • Click "Chat"
    • Explain the problem to them
    • Tell them you would like to send them a screenshot of the error message
    • They will send you a link to a spot where you can securely upload an image file

MAKE SURE THE IMAGE HAS YOUR PURCHASE DATE AND THE "REDEEM MINECRAFT           FOR WINDOWS 10" BUTTON IN IT, AS WELL AS THE ERROR MESSAGE!!!

    • Wait for them to validate it (took about 2-3 min for me)

And BAM! They should be able to redeem it to your Microsoft account! I've been waiting for so long to be able to play with my Xbox friends, I really hope this helps you guys <3

I've been monitoring this thread for a week now, and have just tried contacting Microsoft support, and after uploading my screenshot of the error, I was told

"I was able to coordinate this to our specialist here and as per advised since you're not able to get an assistance through the game developer itself for the game code, what we're going to do here is that we will be the one who will communicate to them and get the game codes for you. During this process we might need to leave the case open and we will provide you the feedback through your best contact email. Would that be fine with you?"

I spoke to Armin E. on Microsoft support. I will update on if anything  comes out of this

On December 25th, I received an email from Mojang, giving me a code for Windows 10 edition. I sent my original email on December 8, and was #118152 in line for support. So they are in December for the emails now, so they are working on answering people it seems. I did not attach my transaction id because I didn't have it at the time, but got in touch with the company that dealt with Mojang back in 2012 and do have it now anyways (Mojang has not received it from me). I also received an email from Microsoft Support on December 22nd, asking me to confirm my account name, which I provided them with my account name, email, and my transaction id in a separate email after I received it, and they said that they were coordinating with Mojang as well to get me a code. The Mojang email and Microsoft support email were not connected in any way. So I received my code from Mojang... On Christmas... at 9 am... which is crazy they are working so early on Christmas. The funny thing is that my Mojang account still gives me the error of out of codes, so I may get a second one, and I have a Microsoft rep looking into another potential code, so who knows, maybe 3 codes in the end? Either way, Thank you everyone who has been posting on this thread, giving suggestions and such. I hope everyone who has not yet received their code will get them soon. Good luck to you all

so if in 72 hours nothing is make I propose something.

EVERYBODY make a tweet with the #myfreecopyofminecraft and we contact minecraft youtuber and journalist for the video games in all country and I think after that, it's gonna move

So for the 30th december we make that if you are with me.

I'll say it to the reddit post for that

Eh, I like this idea but I think we should wait until January 15th. That will be two months with the incident, which should give them time to fix the issue if they have any desire to do so. And if we wait that long Mojang won't be able to use the excuse of "we're behind because of the holidays".

#MojangOutOfCodes is already established, so we can stick with that. But it wouldn't hurt to include #Minecraft too.
