My Microsoft Order is still Pending

So i ordered a Surface laptop 3 on December 1st, and I know that is black Friday so there were probably a lot of orders but i would love to have some sort of reassurance that my item will be delivered on time. It's been stuck in pending literally since i hit purchase and it says that the estimated delivery date is Dec 12, but that's in three days, and i highly doubt it'll get here by then if it still hasn't shipped. I have a trip to go on a few days after it's supposed to arrive and it would be nice to have my new laptop for it.

Why doesn't Microsoft do better with the orders page? It should tell you if there's an issue or if it's sold out or if there's just a high volume of orders and that it may not arrive on time. I'd feel much better if it just gave me something, like Amazon does. 

Anyway, is there any way to find out the true status, more than just a lousy "pending"? And maybe a eay to ensure it gets here sooner, like pay a little extra?

    I had ordered an Xbox controller on April 24, 2020. Its been 12 days and the orders still pending, but i’ve been charged already i would like to get it soon so i dont get canceled cause they run out again. Order number 5309171011

    Update: Item marked as shipped on Friday, May 1st, and was delivered Sunday, May 3rd. Money left my account on May 1st. Looks like they might be catching up on orders. Stay patient, the controller is well worth the wait.

    Update: Ordered on April 20th and arrived today May 4th. 

    Exactly two weeks isn't all that bad considering the COVID-19 disruption in my opinion. Just be patient and don't cancel your order. I suspect everything was back-ordered for some time.

    However, it would be nice if Microsoft store would provide us with a more detailed order status rather than just a generic "pending" status.

    Just hold out and it'll come guys.

    Thats great to hear but Bruh **** I ordered April 16 and it still hasn’t came. Did your status change from pending, to shipped to delivered? Or did they just send it.

    The status changed from pending to shipped on May 1st. It changed to delivered May 4th.

    I'm not sure why it taking longer for some but from reading through the posts it seems that orders are randomly shipped and within 2~4 weeks from order date.
