My Microsoft Order is still Pending

So i ordered a Surface laptop 3 on December 1st, and I know that is black Friday so there were probably a lot of orders but i would love to have some sort of reassurance that my item will be delivered on time. It's been stuck in pending literally since i hit purchase and it says that the estimated delivery date is Dec 12, but that's in three days, and i highly doubt it'll get here by then if it still hasn't shipped. I have a trip to go on a few days after it's supposed to arrive and it would be nice to have my new laptop for it.

Why doesn't Microsoft do better with the orders page? It should tell you if there's an issue or if it's sold out or if there's just a high volume of orders and that it may not arrive on time. I'd feel much better if it just gave me something, like Amazon does. 

Anyway, is there any way to find out the true status, more than just a lousy "pending"? And maybe a eay to ensure it gets here sooner, like pay a little extra?

    I paid through paypal as well but I use that for all my other Microsoft purchases and there hasn’t been anything wrong with those so idk.

    I snagged a series x as well on March 19th and still pending as of March 24th. Maybe pending because I paid through PayPal? I ordered the $99 Xbox headset through Microsoft on the 23rd and will be here on the 25th. It was shipped the same day.

    hmmm seems lots of people are having this issue. i was finally able to snag a series x but now I'm not so sure ill get in any reasonable amount of time. not due to the pandemic of course but due a a lack of competence at Microsoft. why do they allow purchases and yet don't immediately ship product?

    anyways estimated delivery is march 30th so I guess I wait at least till the before I escalate anything.

    Mines has been Pending since Monday and it haven't anything about at all. The estimated arrival for My Xbox was yesterday ( 10th march).

    My storage card order was delivered the next day. I got a shipping confirmation later that night.
