So i ordered a Surface laptop 3 on December 1st, and I know that is black Friday so there were probably a lot of orders but i would love to have some sort of reassurance that my item will be delivered on time. It's been stuck in pending literally since i hit purchase and it says that the estimated delivery date is Dec 12, but that's in three days, and i highly doubt it'll get here by then if it still hasn't shipped. I have a trip to go on a few days after it's supposed to arrive and it would be nice to have my new laptop for it.
Why doesn't Microsoft do better with the orders page? It should tell you if there's an issue or if it's sold out or if there's just a high volume of orders and that it may not arrive on time. I'd feel much better if it just gave me something, like Amazon does.
Anyway, is there any way to find out the true status, more than just a lousy "pending"? And maybe a eay to ensure it gets here sooner, like pay a little extra?

I contacted support w my laptop I ordered earlier in the day and they told me it can take 8-10 hours for the order to clear with your bank. So I would check again tomorrow to see if it's still pending. I bought my laptop at noon today and it is no longer pending.
I ordered a Xbox Series X on Tuesday, and it said it would ship by Friday. Its almost Thursday and it still says pending. They said they would charge me when it ships, and Ive been charged but it hasnt shipped.

i am having the same issue. I purchased an xbox on September 7th. It is now the 22nd and my order is still pending. It was purchased for a birthday present and was said it would ship is 7-10 days. It has been well over 10 days and I would like to know where my console is. At this point, im thinking i should have just gone into bestbuy...
It's because of the coronavirus. Shipments have been getting backordered and that's what's been causing the long delays. It took 10 days for my order to ship and I was one of the lucky ones. For some people it took over a month. If you dont want to wait that long then just cancel your order and get it after the coronavirus passes.
Ordered my xbox one x bundle 16th april and just received shipping notice now (22may) so theres hope
