Hello,

I have installed the latest update of windows 10 (home and pro).

Windows 10 Pro - 1909 (v. 18363.476)

Now the "search" tab is no longer in the folders and I can't clear the search history either. Where is this tab?!

Most insane, stupid, nonsensical thing that Microsoft has done to their operating system!  I thought taking away useful, practical features that user's want and need was Google's job?!

It appears I have the same problem as well.  Some of the helpful tips here got me pointed in the right direction...thanks all.

But beyond that, I would hope this is on Microsoft' repair radar.   Would be nice to get a tabbed file explorer too without using some third party too.  Seems you can tab  in a browser, why not in the file explorer.

you can only do a search in a chosen spot.  once you go out to another file you lose the search tab.  this is ridiculous.  how can we communicate to microsoft to get them to fix this glitch immediately?  you cannot easily search and on my lap top i can enter anything into the search box at all.

Feedback hub is rubbish and will not install on my PC, which is a brand new build of 1909. Other reviews claim that Microsoft don't look at it, and is just a black hole.

It is an utter mess.  Yes it comes up when you start a search, but I want to search for empty folder, and so you have to do a fake search to get the search options up, then when you search for folders it works, but when you search for empty folders, it does not find anything at all, when I know there are dozens there. Like Apple after Jobs, Microsoft after Gates is always cutting corners.
