Missing search tab - File Explorer (Windows 10 - 1909)
Hello,
I have installed the latest update of windows 10 (home and pro).
Windows 10 Pro - 1909 (v. 18363.476)
Now the "search" tab is no longer in the folders and I can't clear the search history either. Where is this tab?!

2020-10-01T15:37:59+00:00 For those looking for a work around to search by date, (which I do a LOT of) try the following. I keep a note pad on my desktop with information I frequently need so I can just copy and paste stuff instead of typing it out repeatedly. I've added this bit to my collection.
datemodified:9/22/2020 .. 9/25/2020
or for a single day
datemodified:9/9/2020
If you replace the numbers with the date range you want to search, you can paste that directly into the search box (for those of us lucky enough to still HAVE a search box) and it will search just like it used to (at least on my computer). Maybe some day Microsoft will actually fix something, but I'm not holding my breath. I hope these will help someone out in the meantime.
Here's some of the other codes. Not sure if these ones still work, having tried them
size:empty
size:tiny
size:small
size:medium
size:large
size:huge
size:gigantic
type:
name:
folderpath:
tags:
kind:=document
kind:=email (you get the picture, I'm not going to list all these out.)

2020-09-28T17:51:18+00:00 If I have understood you clearly, when you input ANY term in the search field in File Explorer and press return, the advanced search tab fails to appear?
If so I would add your comments in the feedback Hub and also open a case via settings/get help. Just put random rubbish in the message field until the option to chat to a person appears. They will hopefully offer you a remote session.
I also have a works laptop which is still operating on creator version 1806 where the search filed is intact and working as it should be. I couldn't roll back to this version as I was on v.2004.
If u are on version 1909 you can roll back.
However unless you have somehow disabled the automatic updates (i dont know how to do this ) this would be very much a short term resolution as your machine will eventually update.

2020-09-28T17:12:02+00:00 this has been recommened before. i can search by a term in a box on upper right, but my search tab does not appear if i type in that search box on the right. i can only search by words, terms. i have lost ability to search by date -- particular day or more general (week, year etc)
