We have the same issue after an update. This is now the second time in 3 years that an update has left us with an unusable laptop.
PC won't boot after lastest Windows 10 update
Hi,
Since I updated Windows 10 a few days ago my computer won't boot. It displays the Lenovo logo screen, but doesn't go any further. It doesn't load any Windows screen for me to attempt recovery environment.
I don't know how to recover it. Can you help?
Thanks

2021-02-07T18:06:09+00:00 I am having the same type of problems with the latest Insider Build 21301.rs. I have a Lenova Yoga, and the computer keeps booting to the Lenova screen and hanging. It must be doing the updates or reboot at night, because when I pick up my computer in the morning it feels hot.
I can reboot and get the computer to load. However, I am often receiving a green screen with a note about the Windows Insider not loading correctly.
Help?

2021-01-23T11:52:17+00:00 Apologies, I haven't posted an update for a while as I've been busy with work. But here it is ....
Reminder of the Current Situation
In the BIOS, I used 'restore optimized defaults'. This appeared to knock everything out. When I power on the PC, nothing appears on the screen, the fan starts, no USB devices work i.e. the keyboard and mouse are not detected. It seems a lot more quiet than normal.
Checked the Manual
Looked up the motherboard for the Lenovo C50-30, it is (1P)5B20H15274. Checked the manual to reset the BIOS. But there was nothing in here to help as it all involved accessing the BIOS utility, which I can't do or see because the screen does not display anything.
Open Up the PC
As recommended, I opened up the PC, removed the battery. I tried this for different lengths of time (5 mins, 30 mins, a few hours, a few days and a week), put the battery back in, but no change.
Followed guidance to reset the BIOS using the pins. I believe the jumper was in positions 1 & 2 to start with. I moved it to 2 & 3, but still no luck. Did this a few times, with the battery in and out as well, but no change.
I even removed the jumper completely, and still nothing.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped so far. I don't believe there is any hope from here on in, unless anyone has any other suggestions?
Otherwise, I will start looking for a new PC :-)
