Hi,

Since I updated Windows 10 a few days ago my computer won't boot. It displays the Lenovo logo screen, but doesn't go any further. It doesn't load any Windows screen for me to attempt recovery environment.

I don't know how to recover it. Can you help?

Thanks

    Just yesterday I tried to install the stupid new Edge update which took forever and then failed anyway then got the message that you are referring to "removing changes to your computer".  Today, it started to boot and then died, I had to remove the battery and reboot it that way.  According to them they have no issues with the update.  Bull!  They always say that.  Not like I would use the Edge browser anyway but they don't support removing it either.  If they would simply leave it alone when it's working well it would be so fine.  If it ain't broke, in other words.  Next time I will try that and see if it works.

    When restart my laptop, I pressed F11 and I could choose to boot on the Windows Boot Manager... after that it boot normaly... can't understand why...

    But it was writting on the last reboot  before I was stuck there 'remove your computer changes'... so I guess the update don't work anyway... and It's maybe not the same situation as yours...

    @Microsoft Team

    I lost one day of work to make the update and be able to reboot my computer... terrible Microsoft update... verry disappointed...

    My Dell laptop also would not get past the Dell logo, before locking up. I tried F8 immediately after boot up and got the recovery screen. All the tools failed, but I was able to use the command line option, where I could see all my data was fine.  I did a reset, opting to keep my data and it eventually came back up just fine.

    Different Pc will have a little difference on its method as its probably put in diff places, just gotta find it. I would recommend trying to set it to initialize booting which would be Shift(constantly) + F8 for lenovo. the difference with brands will only be the placement of their options. Definitely there somewhere just have to find it. At some point if it dont work theres only these few things to try;

    I had mine fixed by disabling boot to enter logo screen, then spammed Shift + F8 to enter the [ Initializing boot ..... ].

    1. Disable Quick boot
    2. boot from hard disk (experiment booting with the others also)
    3. Check hardware & switch hardware

    Otherwise;

    1. Install a Flash update (USB), for your Bios (Only for last Resort) - Make sure u check your Id numbers and u get the exact update for ur exact Bios *Risky*

    I was stubborn at some point to argue that hardware wouldnt be affecting but it did. It ran extremely smooth after my GPU was taken out.

    Totally useless to go through resetting over and over again as that issue will only constantly stay stagnant at its similar place.

    Windows update actually is actually fine, no matter how many times and ways i went through i still see that the inside is operational. This can be due to a clash in newly introduced system to old hardware (version)

    Again, this is my hypothesis what i experienced. Try troubleshooting and researching the ways. At some point, puzzles like these are weirdly fun

    to me.
