System wide stuttering in latest install of windows after a fresh install

Hello,

I recently built a new computer and installed windows 10 on it. After I the first hour or so I started experiencing a system-wide stuttering. It happens while I play games, it happens while I watch Netflix, and it is happening while I type this. It makes any kind of media playback worthless. The audio and video are both effected during the stutters which last less than a second but occur about every 1-2 seconds. I have fully updated all my drivers including the bios, altered power settings, and other things mentioned in some of the older posts on this topic. I've included this snapshot of my setup since it seems to be a popular request on the older forums at least. I am wondering if there are new solutions since none of the ones that have been mentioned in the past have been helpful.

Another thing i did was run it in RAID mode over AHCI. That might help. Try it out before anything.

    Hi Zachary,

    You might want to consider your Chipset Drivers as well for your Motherboard.

    Most of the time, this drivers are being taken for granted or forgotten and it might lead to this kind of issue as well.

    Check your motherboard's brand and model and download all the needed drivers especially Chipsets.

    I had not considered this. However, I have now updated the chipset and other drivers using Live Update 6 (since my motherboard is MSI) but that did not stop the stuttering. I have spent some time on the Nvidia forums and apparently several people have been having similar issues with a wide range of Nvidia graphics cards including mine. I reinstalled an older graphics card and have not had the stuttering since. I am going to have my graphics card replaced since its under warranty and will let you know if replacing the card will solve the problem.

    Hi Zachary,

    Yes, most likely if software cannot fix it.

    We can test your GPU instead.

    You can actually do reseating the card before replacing it as well.

    I had no problems using my old graphics card for several hours, but the stuttering suddenly came back this morning. I have never had problems with this card and have used it for a long time in the past. Are there other hardware components that could be causing this problem?
