Update will be automatically installed in Jan-Feb. That is what I was told. "Blue Butterfly will be retained and changes will be made automatically."
MSN Premium still using MSN Explorer
When someone sends me an email with a link I get an error message that my browser is out of date. So I cannot access the links. MSN Premium is still using Explorer and my new computer is using Windows 10 with Edge. Is MSN going to be updated to use Edge?

As of now, there is a work around, when we get the message "browser is out of date" on MSN Explorer, look for the Edge Icon at the right hand side of the browser. Click on it to open the same website on Edge.

2020-01-08T23:52:54+00:00 Hello, DIANAJeanne1,
MSN Member Center - MSN Premium Subscription Change
Question 1. I use MSN Premium today. Will I still be able to access my emails using the MSN butterfly?
From now until your current subscription ends, you will be able to sign into your MSN Premium software and access your email and the other MSN Premium services you have always used. After that date, your subscription will expire and you will be unable to access your locally stored emails and favorites. You will still be able to send and receive email from your MSN account by going to https://outlook.com however, you will no longer be able to sign in using the MSN butterfly.
Note: Your MSN primary and secondary email accounts will convert to ad-funded free email accounts. This means your email address will stay the same. You may continue to use your email account(s) via a computer with internet access as long as you access the account at least once every 270 days to keep it active.
Don explained thoroughly what to expect with Internet Explorer which MSN Butterfly relies on. If you recall you were told to clear IE cache, not MSN Butterfly cache.

2020-01-08T15:53:20+00:00 I've been on the phone for quite a while this morning and finally was able to talk to Microsoft. They are aware of the problem of MSN Premium subscription still using Explorer. They are working on an update...but don't know when it will be available.

My new computer is using Windows 10 and Edge. I downloaded my paid subscription of MSN Premium to it and it is still using MSN Explorer. Is it going to be updated when Explorer is gone?

- I answered the "problem with links in email" question.
- No one here will be able to tell you if Edge will replace MSN Explorer when Internet Explorer is completely unsupported by Microsoft.
- Opinion based on several web searches, not actual use of MSN Premium...
I haven't seen evidence that MSN Premium is providing features or services that are worth $10.00 per month (is that the current rate?)
You can access www.msn.com and email at https://outlook.live.com/mail/ with any browser.
