When someone sends me an email with a link I get an error message that my browser is out of date. So I cannot access the links. MSN Premium is still using Explorer and my new computer is using Windows 10 with Edge. Is MSN going to be updated to use Edge?

I am a MSN Premium subscriber and have been for many, many, years. Now my email is working sporadically. Is this because Microsoft wants Premium subscribers to switch to Edge? This email problem has been going on for 2 days. There are no ways of contacting a real person to get this issue resolved.

If anyone has a way of contacting a live person who speaks English please let me know. I hope nobody else is suffering from this email problem that started on June 16, 2021. As another subscriber wrote," please get MSN Premium and Edge to work together"

If you're having this mail problem with the MSN Mail app, I don't know what to suggest.

You should be able to access the msn email account at https://outlook.live.com with any "modern" browser- Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc.

    Don

    Harvey,,

Currently MSN is an outdated 32-bit program which runs on Internet Explorer.  Many websites and even email attachments no longer support Internet Explorer.  Assuming you have Windows 10, you have Edge.  Whenever Microsoft gets off their duffs and rebuilds MSN to 64-bit and 100% compatibility with Edge, this new version will probably wipe old Internet Explorer from thos computer with Windows 10.  We've been waiting for over 4 years now!

If you don't have Windows 10, I don't know how well this new version will work on your older computer.

    I hope this helps.

BY THE WAY, I COULDN'T EVEN REPLY TO YOUR MESSAGE IN MSN!  I HAD TO COPY AND PASTE IT INTO EDGE.  HORRIBLE.

I like MSN Premium so much that I continue to pay for it.  I use Premium and Outlook. I hope Microsoft WILL have it work with Edge but worry they may just phase it out.  What a shame that would be.

There is a real convenience having MSN because I can check my mail and go to a few favorites I check each morning (eBay, Amazon, etc.)  I keep resubscribing to keep my convenient email address without having to set up a new one.

But since getting Windows 10, the 32-bit MSN has turned into an unstable, annoying product that crashes, freezes and doesn't work lickity-split as it once did.  I have a computer I bought last year, so it's not my computer causing the problems.  I switched from DSL to cable for my internet connect, so it's not that, either.

The fact is simple;  Microsoft is dragging their feet on updating MSN to 64-bit that's 100% compatible with Edge.  Until they do, we'll continue to have these problems,.....and I don't honestly believe anyone at Microsoft looks at this forum , either.  As long as they get their $59.95 from each of us each year, they're sitting on their hands.
