When someone sends me an email with a link I get an error message that my browser is out of date. So I cannot access the links. MSN Premium is still using Explorer and my new computer is using Windows 10 with Edge. Is MSN going to be updated to use Edge?

I've been on the phone for quite a while this morning and finally was able to talk to Microsoft. They are aware of the problem of MSN Premium subscription still using Explorer. They are working on an update...but don't know when it will be available.

You will have to copy the link and paste it into another browser.

If a website is telling you that you're running an outdated/unsupported browser and you should update to a "modern" browser, they mean exactly that. Internet Explorer is an old browser that has not been kept up to date in performance and web standards and won't be updated.

Some major sites such as Yahoo, Gmail, Flickr, Classmates and Facebook have already stopped supporting Internet Explorer and there will be more.

If you're comfortable with Internet Explorer, use it on sites that don't have problems with it but you should install and become familiar with one or more of these "modern" browsers. Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera.

The last time I contacted MSN for Premium support I called 800-642-7676 and when I got the automated response I said "MSN" and it directed me a rep who was familiar with Premium. I am currently having trouble that when I sign in to Premium I have the folders for mail, etc. at the top but it is an msn.com website not msn.explorer ...   It then opens an additional msn.com webpage that is being pulled from the Edge browser ... I uninstalled and reinstalled Premium but it returns and forces an update for Msn.6 which gives me the above problem .. After more than 10 years with Premium I think I'm just about finished with it ....  The same problem I am having is appearing on other Microsoft Forum websites with no resolution  ...   Good luck

You have mis-understood my question. Your answer does not apply to me.

My new computer is using Windows 10 and Edge. I downloaded my paid subscription of MSN Premium to it and it is still using MSN Explorer. Is it going to be updated when Explorer is gone?

    1. I answered the "problem with links in email" question.
    2. No one here will be able to tell you if Edge will replace MSN Explorer when Internet Explorer is completely unsupported by Microsoft.
    3. Opinion based on several web searches, not actual use of MSN Premium...

I haven't seen evidence that MSN Premium is providing features or services that are worth $10.00 per month (is that the current rate?)

You can access www.msn.com and email at https://outlook.live.com/mail/ with any browser.

Is this more clear? Please respond.
