Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    3 or 4 times? Great I'm glad it worked for you, for me with the cracked version EVERY time 100 pct guaranteed lol. And it's pretty much up to date, only thing is it's not online but as I said I'm not all that interested in online gaming any more. Reason is my reflexes suck badly after a stroke a few years back and I never fully recovered. But again I'm glad it works for you but as you said for the time being lol. I even told the clowns I'm using a cracked/pirate version and they can keep my money that I paid. They have really p!ssed me off

    Are you loading it on the local account or the built in Administrator account?

    Yes it's safe but Windows defender will detect it as being an issue pretty much like the official version and it must be run using the in built Administrator account but it does work flawlessly, just search for fitgirl and forza horizon 4 oh and all of the dlc is included :) Not online but who cares it works! And the support from the group is top notch. A video showing how it's installed etc :) The whole install process is a bit lengthy but worth it

    Whomever is playing or trying to play the legit version will have to keep us updated in case they actually fix the issue

    Thankyou for the info. I will try it next week when i have plenty of time. Wish you all the best especially after your stroke.i know how hard life is after a stroke my father suffered a lot after his strokes. Regards and enjoy your driving!
